Today I created a Linkedin group for networking with other Practice Directors. It is called Microsoft Consulting Practice Directors-MCPD.

I also created a new logo for it.

We had a great SharePoint Saturday SFO event. We got around 100 attendees who were impressed by the sessions and the speakers. Many told me that they wanted more content and that they had a dillema as to which one to attend.

We were treated for a great breakfast and lunch. Thanks to our sponsors.

I uploaded some pics on Flickr:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/36788223@N05/?saved=1

One important feedback we got: Have some more SharePoint 101 for beginners sessions. Okay, next time.

I just created a new page and category for Agile SharePoint.

The key succes factor for successful rollout of SharePoint projects is the SDLC for SharePoint projects.

I use a modified version of Feature Driven Development – An agile methodology, for my SharePoint projects. It has helped me a lot in successfully implmenting these projects. So this is an attempt for sharing this with all of you.

So to start with, the methodology has 3 parts to it.

  • Complete lifecycle
  • SharePoint development process
  • SharePoint Feature Driven Development Model

Let us look at these diagrams first and then I will go into details.

So, first let us take a look at the overall lifecycle. :

Now let us go one step further into details of what is involved in each of phases viz. Discover, Define, Design and Develop.

And finally, the feature-driven development model for SharePoint.
