My presentation was on topic :

“Building internet sites on SharePoint: A real world case study of how we did it”

I shared my recent experience delivering an internet site on MOSS and took the audience step by step through the process we followed, design we created and integration we delivered. I had about 125 attend my sessions which was great.

Will post the PDF of the session soon.

I just created a new page and category for Agile SharePoint.

The key succes factor for successful rollout of SharePoint projects is the SDLC for SharePoint projects.

I use a modified version of Feature Driven Development – An agile methodology, for my SharePoint projects. It has helped me a lot in successfully implmenting these projects. So this is an attempt for sharing this with all of you.

So to start with, the methodology has 3 parts to it.

  • Complete lifecycle
  • SharePoint development process
  • SharePoint Feature Driven Development Model

Let us look at these diagrams first and then I will go into details.

So, first let us take a look at the overall lifecycle. :

Now let us go one step further into details of what is involved in each of phases viz. Discover, Define, Design and Develop.

And finally, the feature-driven development model for SharePoint.

Webinar: Customer Collaboration Extranet With SharePoint

Enabling fast and easy communication with your customers and partners

Sharing information with customers and partners is the difference between standing still – even losing ground – and moving forward.

During this 1-hour webinar you’ll get a first-hand view into the process of defining and creating a collaboration extranet with SharePoint, and the tangible results a real company achieved.

The case study and demo highlight a Burntsand customer who needed a faster and easier way to communicate with resources outside the company, and used SharePoint Server and Excel Services to:

  • Achieve time and cost savings by quickly sharing critical information
  • Publish business information on a secure customer portal
  • Deliver an interactive experience for customers to model scenarios
  • Use Excel as the tool to visualize key patterns and  models
