SharePoint, MOSS

We had a great SharePoint Saturday SFO event. We got around 100 attendees who were impressed by the sessions and the speakers. Many told me that they wanted more content and that they had a dillema as to which one to attend.

We were treated for a great breakfast and lunch. Thanks to our sponsors.

I uploaded some pics on Flickr:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/36788223@N05/?saved=1

One important feedback we got: Have some more SharePoint 101 for beginners sessions. Okay, next time.

SharePoint Saturday SFO announced to be held on April 25th at Microsoft SFO office. It is an all day event on a saturday to learn about all things SharePoint.

There will be 5 tracks and 25 sessions for:

  • Administrators
  • Architects
  • Developers
  • Designers, UI
  • Business end users

Oh, and there will be food- breakfast, lunch and other goodies too.

Great speakers, Practical insight, case studies under one roof. So come get immersed, network and learn.

Can Microsoft Keep SharePoint Rolling?

Read it on Informationweek.com.

For my current SharePoint Foundation and Standardization project, I was looking for a single place to get the Microsoft SharePoint planning worksheets.  The planning worksheets are referenced on various pages on technet site but I wanted to see it one page and get what I wanted.

I found it on this blog : http://itfootprint.wordpress.com/2007/10/05/sharepoint-planning-worksheets-in-one-place/

Thanks Jag

Call it Information Virtualisation or enterprise cloud. But from a business user perspective, what SharePoint can enable is a completely data or system agnostic User experience when interacting with enterprise data/Information.

Here is the concept diagram:
